For the 12th edition of Material (Art Week Mexico City, 2026) Saenger Galería- for the second consecutive year in collaboration with COHJU-presents a group exhibition featuring works by artists Kosai Shiraishi (Japan), Ham Sung Ju (South Korea), Sebastián Hidalgo (Mexico), Jorge Rosano Gamboa (Mexico), and Iván Trueta (Mexico).
The booth proposes a diverse narrative inhabited by each artist's imaginary beings, where reality recedes into the background. We are accompanied by subterranean creatures, dark flowers, and figures from pre-Hispanic mythology, floating in a transparent river: a universe in which expressive minimalism becomes a shared language among the artists, and where fantasy surpasses reality, seeking to linger with viewers even after they have left the booth.
